Happy Hour & Cookie Contest
Friday, May 15th, 4:00 PM
If you are a baker and have a great cookie recipe, this Happy Hour is for you!!!  Bake cookies for at least 40 people (we suggest making them small), bring to the Happy Hour and see if you can win:

Best Cookie Maker in Florentine Estates

Judging will be done by residents, who will vote for their favorite cookie!  Prizes will be awarded for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place.  If you are a baker, please show up at 3:30pm for set up and if willing to share, bring a copy of your recipe.

All are invited to attend, sample, and vote for your favorite cookie.  A $1.00 donation is requested from those not baking to purchase prizes for the winners.

And this is a happy hour, so if not baking, bring a favorite snack to share, your drink, and place setting.

The candidates running for Board positions will be in attendance for a meet and greet.  This will be an informal chance to meet the candidates.
Food for Thought - Harlen Springer FRAA
Friday, June 12th, 11:00 AM
FOOD FOR THOUGHT LECTURE SERIES

Friday, June 12, 2026, 11:00 AM - Noon

Presenter: Harlen Springer from the Florence Regional Arts Alliance (FRAA)

The presentation is entitled "Do the Arts matter?"  We take a look at the impact of arts and culture on the Florence community (accompanied by images of various kinds of art).  We also discuss the impact of the Florence Regional Arts Alliance (FRAA) on the community.  What is the social impact?  What is the economic impact?  What does it do for you and why should you care?  We believe that "Everyone is an artist" and we will explain what that means.

Bring your curious brain and meet new neighbors.

Are you interested in presenting a short lecture?  Do you have a special skill, talent or subject you would like to share with Florentine Residents?  If so, please contact Heather Fisher at (541) 735-2258.
